R7 WOTY and MWOTY to Snowdonia - September 2026
Happy New Year all Region 7 Porsche lovers!
For this years WOTY and MWOTY, we will be driving the wonderful roads of North Wales and staying in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) at the Plas Weunydd hotel just outside Blaenau Ffestiniog. We have organised the MWOTY from 9-11 September and the WOTY from 11-13 September 2026. You can of course come to both and stay the 4 nights if you fancy a longer break!
The location is described as unique, situated at a UNESCO World Heritage site. The area has brilliant roads and is used by Porsche GB for road testing. Wyddfa (Snowdon), Portmeirion, Harlech Castle, and the Ffestiniog Railway are all within easy reach and there are many stunning beaches nearby.

911 and Porsche World describe the hotel as “a perfect place for Porsche owners to use as a base while exploring what this part of Wales has to offer. The accommodation is homely. The rooms are spacious, and the staff are friendly”. Don’t expect gourmet dining. We are talking pub grub, not a fancy menu, but the rates are reasonable.
The hotel has agreed £200 per couple /night (£150 single occupancy) for bed, breakfast and a two-course evening meal with a drink. They are holding 15 rooms for us until 9 February. There are 2 accessible rooms as well as 5 ground floor king rooms.
Bookings open on 26 January. The reservation number is: 01766 610006. Please only phone the reservation team from 26 Jan and between 10.30am and 14.30. Each caller can only book one room and online booking is not available for these rooms.
Please speak to the hotel about any mobility or dietary issues when you book.
VERY IMPORTANT. Once you have booked, please email Simon Perryman at simon.perryman04@gmail.com to confirm the following:
Names of guests
PCGB Membership number
Model of car
Registration number of car
Colour of Car
Mobile numbers of driver and passenger
Any dietary requirements or allergies
Have you got your own MITEX radio or would you like to borrow one?
I can then send you further details about travel arrangements, drive outs, lunch stops and so on. I will assume you are happy for your contact details to be made available to other members on the trip. Let me know if you wish any of these to remain private.
See you in Wales!
Simon
