Wonderful Wastegate wellbeing

Why???!

Because I searched for it and found it and wanted to reference it in the other thread - the link came up with the search terms highlighted and I wanted a link without. Also it was a good thread from a long time ago that a lot of the new posters wouldn't have seen, It will benefit a standard wastegate greatly and is cheap and easy to do - 3 bolts and a stack of washers!

The fact Pauls car is now a 3.2 - Fens blew up into lots of little pieces and mine was mostly ruined by some overfueling some time later should be quietly ignored or learnt from! These failures are all unrelated to shimming the wastegate but its a slippery slope once you start.

Shims still working OK Paul [:D]

Ha - I can't even remember what happened to that original wastegate, only that I don't have it any more [&:]

Edited to add - Actually I think I sold it to a name that us oldtimers should remember - Leigh Cromwell [:)]

Traded mine for an intercooler with Andrew Sweetenham - cant remember why I wanted an IC now! I ended up with 2 standard ones and Fen's lindsey one with new end tanks
