lol

I wound my passenger window down today (electricly of course) and the bloody thing won't wind up again its completely dead !!

Ive had the same problem and it was as simple as an intermitent switch.
I took them out of the doors (both sides) and wiggled and twacked them :)
To find out.

As Lee says, the switches are the most likely culprits, followed by the door looms. Gearboxes sieze and burn out motors, but with it working in one direction I will guess that its the switch.

yeah you were dead right ,the drivers side switch for the passenger side window is a bit dodgy ,I swapped the switchs around on the drivers side door panel and the drivers side then wouldnt work but the passenger side was ok

just need a new/secondhand switch

I was going to post the part number (477.959.622) and new price, but they dont appear to be available any longer. Dont pay over a fiver though as theyre all on the way.

You can split them and clean up the pitted contacts, use some cotton to hold the switch assembly and springs in place when you go to refit the together again and then simply pull out the cotton [;)]

hey 'master' ! you anygood with gearboxs lol

There are two different swiches for the 944, have you quoted for the oval dash, as I see you have a 1989 model year? The 477.959.622 is a 924 part number, and completely different to 951.613.133.0. which is the tip switch for 89-91 model years. I know these were available a month ago because I renewed all the switches in my 944 T cab in April, and I paid the same £34.61 from PC Reading.

As John says Tom, theyre series two switches. Chris needs a series one switch and they don't appear to be available now. Id suggest asking an OPC though, just to be sure.
