Wilton House Supercar Day 14th August

ORIGINAL: Alex L Got a local mobile valeter to come to my in-laws house Sat evening and do a quick wash and wax. He's taken pity on me as he's going to the show too. Hopefully it won't get too dirty overnight/on the motorway on the way to the event.
You should worry. I've got a charity event tomorrow at a children's hospice which will involve rides for the kids/parents etc, then a 2+hour drive to Wilton in the evening. Hopefully some quick detailer (as in the fluid, not the man!) will get most of the bugs off. (Not to mention my lane which looks more like mid December than mid August) BTW the grilles stopped a bird from taking out the nearside a/c condenser today. (No, nothing to do with looters before you say it)[;)]

Can't make it tomorrow now- last minute crisis! Anyone need a room tonight near Wilton? If so please e-mail or pm. Gutted..........[:(]

All clean and ready to go. Fingers crossed no local riots targetting shiny cars or rain overnight...

See you guys in the morning!

Just got back from Wilton House. A great day with an awesome variety of mouth-watering motors, worth many millions of pounds, on display. I thought PCGB acquitted itself pretty well actually with an excellent variety of 997's of all types on show and a lot of interest shown by the punters. Even the weather held up for us all day! [:)] Thanks to everyone for making the effort to support the Register. Judy and I enjoyed it very much and I hope you did too. I'll post up a few piccies when I get a minute. [;)] Regards, Clive.

Just got back too (yes I know, had to go pick up family in the opposite direction). Great day! Even got a touch of sunburn :) Tasty motors on display - lots of pics to post tomorrow - even if half if them weren't as 'super' as our cars. Really good seeing familiar and new faces. Always a pleasure meeting up!

Alan's loss was our gain, fun evening and a great display of kit at Wilton House. Good to see everyone.

Sorry we missed a few faces but we did turn up albeit briefly, stunning show of cars. Nice to put sound to the cars of dreams

Another great weekend, with sunshine (I also am a little red) and an assortment of superb cars, the great part of saturday evening was without doubt the company and I think the rest is best left unsaid. Sunday however started in tremendous fashion when we joined a convoy of super cars on their way to a hill climb prior to attending Wilton House unfortunately Clive's sense of responsibility got the better of him and we returned to the PCGB site at Wilton House to set up, I think next year if we look to participate, the hill climb should be a must which would give us the opportunity to exercise our toys and get some driving into the day. It really did look good fun. Wilton House was an impressive building with lovely grounds ideal for the day. There must have been around 150 cars on show with pretty much every make of super car on display including a new McLaren with a scrape along the o/s front corner, possibly a misjudgement on the hillclimb. Overall an excellent day.

I've seen some pictures elsewhere but look forward to seeing the 997 register pictures. Well done and many thanks to Lancerlot for entertaining the group on the evening and organising the display for everyone.. As you can imagine, I'm pretty gutted to of missed this event [:(] but my diary is being thrown around all over the place at present [&:] Clubs 50th is next, where I hope the social aspect can be repeated over again [:D] garyw

Lots of Great Photo's Alex Lots of Lambo's though - are you trying to tell us something? The burn't orange colour one is Jacqui's anyway, or at least that's what she told me [8|]

My order of lust: 599 GTO > 458 > Gallardo > SLS > DBS > McLaren All other super/hyper-cars there were far too wide for B road fun [:(]
