who know this Rs

Was for sale last year for about £27,000 bought by this dealer....looks cheap and has not sold in about 4/5 months it has high kilometres for a RS also the setas at the time were not right also other the wheels neede changing I think, but I'm sure the dealer Andrew Mearns will have done all this work.

It must seem good value particularly if you are in Europe where these cars are appreciated by more peolple and prices are higher....and strong Euro....

By the way fantastic colour....
 
I went to look at it when it was up for sale in Windsor. It had obviously led a hard life and was priced accordingly. My guess is that one or two things have since been put right and Gmund have nudged the price up to cover the costs of such work plus added a bit of a margin too. It's certainly the cheapest RS for sale at the moment, there is very little else for sale these days south of £40K.

Very surprised we did not sell this car already, it's got a really striaght body / chassis, we have now fit the original seats, the correct RS steering wheel, and have fit a correct re-furbished set of original Magnesium alloys. I have a customer going crazy for a set of magnesium wheels, so may fit some replica Cups to the car (we have 3 sets in stock at the moment !), and then sell the car for £29,750. Its going to be a car we look back on and wish we bought instead of paying into the pension fund ! I guess it's like selling a genuine 2.7 RS that was used in the late 80's Porsche Cup, it's been on track, but survived being used for what it was designed and now makes a nice road car/track day car and will lose no money. We just got in a nice Polar silver car also. Andrew Gmund.
 
There are dealers who will take a C2 + £30k and create a copy of an RS.

Am I missing something in the arithmetic here --- or can C2's be had for nothing ?

And it's the real thing with a serious history ! Willie Green ?
 
And a £3,249 drop for the loss of a set of mags.

Bargain for £29,750. Possible to pick up non-refurbed mags for £2,000. Re-furbed £2,500.

High mileage counts against if an engine rebuild is on the horizon.

Confident this car will sell when UK trackdays start again.

Guess it depends on the condition of the engine, running gear and bodywork.

If as it has been said its had a hell of a hard life and it costs 10k to get the car tip top then it suddenly looks expensive fot a 120k mile car.

If its all spot on and needs very little spending and has a good service history all stamped up then I'll buy it off you!
 
It's sensible money for a lhd well used 964 RS but the silver car for sale at Gmund appears to be far better value (I have not seen it but it has far less miles and probably a few less battle scars). Paul is probably correct, the minute the track day season kicks back into life the car will sell.

Don't know this car but as always buyer beware and get them checked out properly. I'm sure there are a few silver RS's that have been on their roofs more than once. If this car is straight then agreed - bargain
 
Willie Green owned it and I've seen him drive many a racing car. Consequently I guess it has been subject to some enthusiastic use.

I like it - half tempted to get back into one (best colour too, natch)...but on the basis that I didn't bother to look at it when it was up for a smidge over £25k in a rather odd motor trader's site, I can't bring myself to pay over £30k for it now. I know I'll be lynched for this...but Paul Stephens' (non-airconned and lhd, OK) GT3 Mk1 Comfort is not a huge amount more and, well, you only live once and I think I have "done" the 964RS "thing".....
