White Dials for a 944?

Ex Skyline

New member
Yeah ok, I know, "Boy Racer" etc, etc. But, anyway, i really like them and i'm fed up with the original dull, boring Black one's in my car. So, the $64,000 question to you lot is, are they available for the 944 marque? and, where do i get my hands on some ?[8D][:)]? Many thanks guys.

they are available although I can't remember from who, a google search should help or someone else here will have the info. My reason for posting is to say while doing this it would be a good time to upgrade the dash lights. There are a number of threads on the web of how to do this and it does make a big difference, so well worth doing.

Pete

Personally i think they look rubbish . Like Pete says just fix the prisms on your light cluster , they are not dull at all when in good condition .
The only aftermarket product for the dials that i like are the chrome rings but still don't wish to install such things.
Porscheshop has the white dial kits

I have the chrome rings on the dials. Quite subtle I think and to be honest I forgot they were there until they were mentioned in a post above!

I rather like the chrome bezel rings, but the white dials.....err....no - says the man with carbon fibre effect dash trim :ROFLMAO:

Agree that sorting the prisms/dashlights is probably the best mod though.

White is all wrong. What you really want, is yellow! I'll try and dig out a picture of mine and post it here tomorrow.

Noooooo!!......have you asked the wife what she thinks??

She was right about the Matte paintwork!! [:D][:D]

I like them - I also think that Ewan's yellow interior is so wrong but so right, I know I shouldn't love it but I do!

Most of these kinds of mods are reversible anyhow, so in the slight chance that our cars ever became collectable classics you could revert to stock.

However you must realise that I have red callipers and just chopped out my Cat in order to make my exhaust louder - so I don't have the most reserved or classy approach to the 944, surely a daily driver is the car to be conservative in!

Love the yellow, looks like techart period stuff, very cool!
(sorry white is a no no for me)

Ha,Ha!![:D] Guys, i just LOVE you're reply's!! It matters not, White dials are the way forward and i will find some to install in the Turbo![;)]. Black dials are BORING! Ewan, the Yellow dials are way cool mate but, i am a CHAV and don't really deserve to own one of the greatest sports cars that has ever been born, so it's White for me! Plus the fact that Jon Mitchell gave me a WHITE, Auto-Meter Boost guage free of charge (bless him), and, it look's really cool so,......... Anyway, as i say, I am a Pikey and don't deserve to be entrusted with the Porsche badge but, hey! some day's are like that[:D] Ha, Ha! I bet the old die hards are having convulsions [:D]. I'll probably get slung out the club tonight or tomorrow![:D]

Andy Watson, hello mate, my wife loves the White dials (she is a Pikey too don't forget) although it is true, she isn't too keen on the Matt Black idea so, i may heed her (and you lot's ) advice on that one. However, i had White dials in the Skyline and White dials in the Pulsar (and my mate has them in his NEW BMW M3 RS) so, i think they will go down quite well in a 944 Turbo, but as Joss say's, it is a reversible mod' so, what the hell! Lets's give it a try[8D].
