Whining noise........

I have an intermittent whining noise coming from the rear of my S2. Not sure if it's a wheel bearing or diff noise. Quite pronounced when going around a right hand bend but stops completely going around a left hand bend.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

Not sure why I am answering this as I usually get it wrong.

When in the past I have this sort of thing its usually a wheel bearing.

I would guess that its the left rear because when turning left the load shifts to the right wheel and the noise stops.

Jack it up and look for left/right play in the wheel.

Very justified in your case, Geoff[:)][:D][:D]

Oh, and check the driveshafts while you're under the car, too, Paul[;)]
