Which centre caps were original?

Don't have definative answer but early brochure shows Porsche crest with black on sliver. RHD press car had silver crested caps. I think but just guessing that the RS caps came later with the 993RS ?

So a silver painted metal cap, Porsche crest embossed but not painted? Is that what's on your RS Touring David?

Can you post a pic - is the logo the same size as the pic above?
 
Yep....all silver metal crested were original equipment....but in the constant quest for lightness, I fitted the plastic 993 RS items !!

Agreed. I have the same. Top tip - 928's had the same metal, silver painted centre cap.
 
Agree with the above.
All the early magazine road test cars (august '91 or earlier show plain silver.
BUT, the car on the original brochure has black crests!
RS ones appeared on 993RS.
