Wheels - will these fit?

I'm looking at a set of wheels for sale at these sizes, but thinking the 9J and 10J will be too wide for the RS:

Can anyone advise? Thanks.

Front: 9Jx18 ET50 Tyre: 225/40/18
Rear: 10Jx18 ET50 Tyre: 295/30/18
 
I'm sure they will fit but only if you put 265's on the rears. 295's are way too wide for the RS!
Bet they are BBS aren't they Rich...BBS ''RS''?[8|]

Damen, is it the wheels on their own or the wheels and tyre combos which you think are too big?

What 18" front and rear wheel and tyre sizes are others using. Anyone?
 
I think 9" fronts are too wide, 10" rears are OK, but I believe the correct offset for a narrow body 964 is ET61.

As a guide - Speedline 18" Cup 1 split rims are front 8" ET52 and rear 10" ET61

The rears should fit with 265 tyres --- and the front 225 tyres will not be a problem, but will 9" rims ? They are very wide (---- but 225 does just work on a 9" rim).

I don't know ---
 
Talking about polishing and garages... how are the shiny flooring, shiny walls and shiny upside-down framed posters coming along at the Graham household? [;)][:)]

The Speedlines with ET61 on the 10" rears are designed for the wide body trailing arm as fitted to the 3.6 Turbo. The ET61 offset is too much without a spacer for the narrow body - the wheels will foul the oil pipe in the right rear. The standard wheels on the narrow body cars are ET55 (actually the C2/C4 had ET52.3 on the 16" D90s) but the wider rim necessitates a smaller ET to move the inner rim surface away from the oil pipe. Most aftermarket 10J rears designed for the narrow body are ET47. The BBS 10J wheel with an ET50 is OK with a 265/35 tyre.

The 9" fronts are too wide.

18" will, of course, fit if you have the correct offsets and/or spacers but a 964 drives better on 17" wheels.

The flooring is lifting in places, the walls are the same and the poster is still upside down!!!

But its again full of kids and wives rubbish once more.....you'll learn about this soon....[;)]

even if the 9" fronts fit, you won´t like the car´s handling with these wide front wheels.
The only reason for wide front wheels is to change the driving to polishing ratio from 10%/90% to 0%/100%.[;)]
