Wheels refurb

I would like to give my S2's wheels a make over refurb and probably change the colour too from the current alloy silver to gloss/matt black/dark graphite as a 20th birthday present [:)].

Just wonder if anyone has good experience with the refurb shops in the South/SE and what price do I expect to pay?

Hi James,

I thought you were going to use someone over Reading way? Glad you're pleased with the results - they're only 4 miles from me and I was going to leave the car with them and have them done and refitted. That'll of course mean new colour crested centres will be needed too. Ah well - I've been meaning to get them for the last 4 years [:)]

Recently had my alloys powder coated by a company near Great Yarmouth - the finish is fantastic.

Here's a few pictures:

The finish is called Black Chrome - they do normal powder coated finishes for £40 a wheel, but their Aeromax and Black Chrome finish is £60 a wheel.

I love the black chrome finish. Very cool indeed. Thanks but Gt Yarmouth a too far for me. Lookinf to get it done a bit down south.

Ditto

I have been pondering the same for some time - if I had a spare set of wheels (that fitted) it would have been "job jobbed" by now.

There is meant to be a very good wheel refurbisher on Canvey Island where all the local wheel places send theirs to be done; unfortunately I don't have a name.

A friend with a serious 911 turbo (soundly beats up catering vans at Mallory [8D]) has just had his Speedlines split and refurbed........................£600 [][] !!!

If you think Yarmouth is a long way from Brentwood try it from Bristol. Super_Marv's wheels look really good but Hertford's still a long walk home. Can anybody help with a GOOD company to refurbish my wheels in the south west as they're starting to look a bit tatty. Just replaced the roof so now I want to get the wheels pretty. HELP!

I had my wheels done by Lepsons in Gillingham. I think they also have a Swindon branch, which is SWish. recommended, prices in line with above, and everything is done in-houe in 4-5 days.

Oh my - That 968 CS is a thing of beauty.

John,

Thanks for the info. I think the place in Canvey Island is called JP Polising. Rang up the guy to discuss options and he was very helpful. Yes, I think I may do the same black chrome as the 968. I think they will look very pretty on my white cab too with the black hood [:)].
