My apologies if you have seen this thread on another forum, but recntly it was mooted that a good idea might be to order the 2.7 (I hate calling it base!) Cayman with standard 17" wheels, to be kept for winter, and then ordering a set of aftermarket 18/19" wheels, the total cost would hopefully not be much more than just upgrading the 17" to Porsche 18" wheels (£770).
I was checking out www.design911.com and they do a set of replica 18" Sportdesign or Carrera Classics wheels & tyres for £1150.
I wondered if anyone had had experience of design911 or replica wheels in general.
The obvious questions are on Porsche warranty, insurance premium increase, safety of replicas, etc.
