The Wheels in Wales Weekend is coming together – 23 rooms booked so far. The Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells is our base and we plan to arrive in time for dinner on Friday 18th March. On Saturday, after a good breakfast, we will go for a drive and lunch – possibly a visit to a local distillery - returning to the hotel for a three-course dinner in our own private room, probably followed by the obligatory quiz! After breakfast on Sunday morning, you can either make your way home or take another opportunity to see the fabulous scenery of the Elan Valley in Mid Wales. Several of the group have booked for the Sunday night as well. Worth considering if you don’t have to get back to work on Monday morning.

The hotel is very used to hosting motor clubs, in particular Porsche Club GB, and we have a special deal for the weekend. The cost, per couple, for the weekend including two nights’ Dinner, Bed and Breakfast is only £258 in a Classic plus double or twin room. It is possible to upgrade to a Superior or Tower bedroom at extra cost (£10 and £40 respectively per room per night). Single rooms, subject to availability, will be £209 for the weekend. Several have extend their stay for an additional cost of £49.50 per person per night. If you would like to join in, please call the hotel direct on 01597823700 and quote Porsche Region 8 Wales Weekend. You will be asked for a non-refundable deposit of £20 per person. Please let me know when you have booked (r8@porscheclubgb.com) so she can keep you in the loop for details as they develop.
