Wheel alignment recommendation

Last year had poor wear on the front tyres on my otherwise nicely driving 987.2 as shown to me at Zuffenhaus during a service.

Booked the car in for the dreaded triangle exhaust bolts, an MoT and with fresh front tyres, an alignment with a garage they know well (not them).

Came back to the car later in the day, all done inc a good alignment to factory (my request) which it needed all round, but just tweeks.

Drives nicer, no wear, lighter steering; not a dramatic difference, it seem good before!

Also, the car was driven by them and signed-off as "sweet".

All local and £70 iirc.

The factory spends ££££££££££££££ getting the geo right on these cars, so if you drive 'normally' then it must be the best place to be, but NEVER heard bad of Centre-Gravity, just very picky and costs go with that inevitably.

Well, I had a bad & costly experience when they first started, which I revealed in a very neutral non-judgemental manner many years after in another part of the forum (guess), only to be met with a blizzard of fan-boys attacking me. Had to close the thread .. only did it twice in 19 years .. [:)]

Thanks guys - i am looking to get it booked in with Troy at Northampton motorsport. His costs are much more reasonable and include corner weighting and I know him from work he has done on my Alfa so will report back

Thoroughly recommend Troy at Northampton motorsport. Now drives like it should. Corner weighting was close anyways so only charged £179 inc vat. So a £500 saving on the Centre Gravity option...........
