Whats this colour called?

Edd: 1983 model year cars were built from September 1982 (this is why the age identifier in the VIN changes towards the end of the year - for example some '1985' C-registered cars have an early dashboard and an F code, whereas others have a late dashboard and a G code - the Fs were MY85 cars built until August 1985 whereas the Gs were MY86 cars built from September 1985. These 1985 built and registered cars are 1986 model year vehicles).

Light Beige Metalic was introduced for the 1983 model year (and replaced with Kalahari Beige for the 1985 model year). I havent mentioned January as far as I can recall; and April doesnt have anything to do with it. Im sorry if what I have posted previosly hasnt been clear, but I can assure you that my facts are straight.

With regards to your cars colour: now I really have seen it all! [:D]

My first 944 (1982) started out bronze and at one point in its life was re-painted in the more modern porsche gold shade, I guess so they didnt have to paint the engine bay by not being to far from the original colour but getting a more modern colour. would have been much easier for me if they had resprayed it the originel light bronze colour.

I found the paint code today. Its LM8U - assuming its still the same colour that it left the factory with, what's this colour called?
