Whats the best and cheapest way to lower 944 2.7 ??

Whats the best and cheapest way to lower 944 2.7 front end about an inch or so? Will Turbo front legs/struts fit ? Turbo springs on existing dampers ? Also want to retain some road comfort !

I've got Spax 30mm lowering springs on mine and have fitted height adjustable Koni's too. The rears are dropped on the eccentrics and the car is perfectly level.
 
Ive been looking at spring kits and coilovers but they only seem to come in pairs and can't find rears some good coilover kits on eBay but I don't have a grand to spend on a 1500 quid car

There are no "lowering springs" for the rears because they use torsion bars.. [:D]

There is some adjustment in the spring plates - I'm sure Clarks garage or the workshop manual will cover it.

So the costs are mainly in the geometry / suspension adjustment - you will probably want to get the fronts checked as well as the camber have changed. A lot of places won't touch the rear end of the 944 as the bolts can be seized & they are scared of breaking things

I then had the rear adjusted on the eccentric bolts on the spring plates, these are usually seized and I couldn't shift them so left it to the Garage who also carried out a full Geometry set up, not just wheel alignment.
Turbo and S2 front struts use a smaller diameter Spring so these would not suit unless you replace with Strut and Spring.

I've seen these springs listed. What are they like compared to the standard springs ? Do you have a pic of the front now ?

Use smaller wheels. At least that way you won't cock up the suspension geometry. [8|]

The 944 was designed to work optimally at a certain ride height, unless you address the whole system all you will succeed in doing is making the car hit more speed humps and handle worse.
