put them on for the first race at Brands Hatch did 30 min qualifying, 40 minutes race. The same at Donnington, Oulton, Silverstone. Then did 2 one hour sessions at Spa (1 in the wet).
Still got enough tread to start next season on them, maybe 2 races.

In order to runs slicks you need a lot of chassis work (suspension and shell), or you cant deal with the increased grip available and youll end up with a jelly monocoque after a while too, then youll need a new bodyshell...

It may be that hill climbs and sprints are less demanding with only short runs so could be an option.
They definitely wouldn't be option I would consider.

Andrew S did a lot of track miles on slicks and as far as I know suffered no issues - car is still around.
If its the same class for treaded and slicks try the slicks.
Having said all that I have little experience of hill climbing ( 1 day prescott school) will the tread blocks moving around heat the tyre faster? what are the class leaders using?
