What This For Sale 944 Cup .... ?

1986s had original mirrors without electric motors. The poverty spec mirrors went from being a cheap VAG derived part, to a Porsche Motorsport catalogue part with a frightening price, to unavailable, so an '87> may use '86 style mirrors if need be.

Now Ive looked at it I see that it has the wrong wheels and the wrong bonnet too. An interior picture would be more telling, but Im not convinced that its an original Cup car, yet.

That Tony Erker is a one! Check his web site and his Facebook page and his Twitter postings (if you really have nothing better to do). Click on the lady's picture on his web site - she is standing ion front of an extraordinary barn find - a one owner original paint original tyres funky old gullwing Merc. He also sells Bavarian shoes, Steinway pianos and olive oil. Oh, and a "racing" 944. And not a price in sight.

Not a Cup car otherwise he'd be crying it out loud.
The left side mirror + the mention about A/C not working, etc.

I don't believe for a second its a cup car. Matter cage is interesting though indicating that it must have been a race car for some time. Suspension setup is too high by miles and M030 is not nor ever has been race suspension as far as I am concerned.

This one looks more interesting:

Now we are cooking!

In the great scheme of things that car is a massive bargain. I shouldn't have to post 'that' youtube link again as I think its burned into our memories but it was one of the greatest Porsche cup drives I think I have seen.

Its epic! I have a 1080p version on my media player. Even Emma sat and watched the whole race.
