What GT4 spec

Great spec Jase. If it’s in your budget, I’d put on PDLS as the standard lights are reportedly pretty rubbish.

Dan.

I did have PDLS + but that's been removed, not keen on the headlight jets on the bumper, good point though, will take a look at the config again.

The standard lights are no better than halogen. They are low powered xenon, hence no need for headlight washers. The Bi-Xenon PDLS are actually pretty good and although not a bright or white as the LEDs they are at least up to the job.

Excellent Jase. Now tell your SA to push the button and leave the configurator alone. Sit back and enjoy the ride. It’ll be worth it.

Dan.

Jase,

super exciting for you! I know you said you're done with the configurator a couple of options I chose on mine and very glad I did.

[ul][*] Extend dash leather/Rac Tex (this is for dash nearest to the windscreen including the Chrono and ends) c£700[*]Race Tex sun visor (you'll need to add the light design package too). [/ul]For me those options really lifted the interior and made it feel a bit more special.

Thanks both, Dan 100% I'm there now and no more changes, popped in the OPC yesterday to confirm and that's it. Carl, was tempted by the extended dash but didn't go for it in my GTS, the only thing that annoyed me was the plastic cowl around the steering column which I now have covered in leather.

Next job is to investigate the seat side protectors for the buckets.

Okay, car now locked as of today, still showing as delivery end of next month but I'm guessing it will be more like December but at least it is locked.

Having recently collected my new GT4 (my own spec) I would advise:

1) Don't get the red Dials - in bright sunlight they are absolutely useless.

2) Don't get the Bose - sounds mediocre at best

3) Do get the PDLS - absolutely fantastic, they react so quickly.

I did all of the above except Bose, I agree it is really poor in the Cayman but it is a must have. I did consider a complete delete but the better half put pay to that thought. Hope you are enjoying your car.

Update, car now showing as the last week of October delivery, fingers crossed and then have to wait for PPF :(

Hi Jase, how did you get the car to show up on your app on my Porsche ? I have a Cayenne coupe due to my OPC end of this month and a PTS GT4 due about a month later both haven't appeared on my porsche.

Thanks !

Your dealer should have set it up so it shows in My PORSCHE however the system is very slow to give updates. You’ll probably get production photos when it’s on its way over from Emden.

Dan

Thanks.... my dealer hasn't set anything up that i am aware of. I set up my porsche online but nothing from the dealer.

I did enquire a few months ago and they said it wasn't for certain vehicles..... sounds like i've been given the wrong info.

It’s available for 911 and 718. Not sure about the other models in the lineup.

Did you have an email asking you to set My PORSCHE up? If so you’re on the system and should get updates when your cars move into different key stages ie scheduled for production, production complete etc.

Dan.

Nope I didn’t get an email. I just set it up on my own accord. All I have on their is that I can add a vin number so I can add my vehicle.

I will definately be asking my OPC though. as it seems it’s something they should of sent me. When I originally asked he said it was just available in the USA.
