What Gearbox Oil For 915 LSD?

Hi all

Looking at doing an oil change as not done one while I've owned the car. No particular issues with the box, just the usual characteristics for a 915 - sometimes 1st gear a bit difficult to select for stationary.

Seen lots about Swepco 201- in favour and for improving the shift, but then a couple of real concerns in using it?!

Mine is an LSD and just road use only.

Any recommendations?

Best regards
Neil

Thanks Rich.

Millers was possibly the next best recommended after Swepco - just too concerned about the small, but very detrimental, comments about it though.

Will go with Millers.

Many thanks
Neil

Also, I think it helps if you engage 2nd gear momentarily before engaging 1st, as this gets the synchro moving. Might be wrong, though, as the Porsche gearbox is a unique design IIRC.

Yes, will occasionally do this if 1st is an issue - always do rev matching when changing gear on the move. All part of the involvement of driving these old cars.
