What a TERRIFIC Day!!

Just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who made the effort and came to Brighton today! I think it was sixteen cars that turned up and hammered down to Brian's Café for a variety of very tasty Breakfast fare and, all on the house [8D][:D]. Some of you came a fair old way, Dorset, Colchester, Lincoln, Stamford and the likes, to make this a very, very good day out and, for that I thank you all. I still have a few commemorative plaques left if anyone fancies one, I over ordered somewhat. Just send me your name and address. I will chuck 'em out if no takers by the end of next week. A great afternoon was had by all at the Brighton and Hove Classic Car Show. This was held at Stanmer House which is in Stanmer Park, about two miles up the road from the café. It boast's a couple of restaurant's and, bar's and has a very good menu [8D][:D]. My mate Jeff was showing his 1953 Chevy' Pick Up Truck, no doubt hoping for a best in class or, even best in show award. However, I had to leave about 14:30 before the judges made their decisions so, perhaps Andy Watson, Jon Jeffreys, Andy Hairyarse or Chas R would like to pick up the story from here and post some of the zillions of piccy's that they all took [;)]!! Thanks again everyone, Lets's do it again next year [8D][:D]!!!
Pete.

Yes it was a good day out. Always good so see the cars together. Nice to meet you all. Thanks again for the free food.
To all those who weren't there who could have been - YOU MISSED OUT !

Rats. Sorry I missed it chaps. Other stuff was in the diary, but your day was more fun than mine for sure!

Thanks for a brilliant day and for making me feel so welcome on my first outing. After the car show went back to pick my wife up in Brighton apparently she had to buy a set of new cloths as it was cold. The price you pay for a Porsche day! And just in time for a nude bike ride through Brighton. (Lucky in 944 so fold up bike in the boot and my wife was right it was cold if any photos)[:D] Thanks again Greg.

Thanks Pete for a great day! Sorry I left early but my co pilot was getting fed up [:)]

Hello everyone. I was one of the new faces at Brighton today. My name is John and I went to Brighton to meet everyone with my youngest son Sam. My 944s2 is the black one parked next to ChasR's white turbo. The cars looked fantastic all parked up together on the seafront. Thank you Pete for the breakfast.

Kin hell peeps we were 20 miles away from this this morning looking at a fancy beetle (911 Anniversary) which was purchased, looks like a great turn out well done to all and to Skyline for sorting it !!
Well done, very rare sight so many UK 944's together.

Some lovely cars and photos, glad you all had a good day, very sorry I couldn't make it, but apart from it being my sons baptism today I blew the headgasket on the cab this week, so definitely wasnt coming!

What FANTASTIC photo's guy's [8D]!! That was a particularly good shot of the Red '44 taken in your wing mirror Craig. Wasn't it great to see so many of our wonderful cars together?!![:D]. Undoubtedly, "the Car was the Star" yet again! Just leaves me to say a BIG Thank You to all who made it for a fantastic turn out [8D]. It couldn't of happened without YOU![:D]
Pete.

Thanks Pete and all the 944ers that made yesterday such an enjoyable day in Brighton for us! Breakfast on Pete was extremely kind, cheers mate. I haven't downloaded all the pics yet but if I have any different from the excellent pics above I will try and post them later this week. (Fingers crossed nobody was 'flashed' on the way home - horrible M25...)

Cheers, Max & Emma.

It did make for a great day out I must say from start to finish. Even the weather could not deter us :).

Many thanks to everyone turning up in addition to meeting old and new faces, and also to Pete (Ex Skyline) for fantastic hospitality (from providing the brekkie to being a great bloke to have a natter with).

Roll on the next meet.

Was good to meet you Chas - I loved the burble of your car as I followed you out of the park - sounds good! Still thinking about the colour of your alloys too - can't really describe the 'sheen' on them but they look spot on [8D]
