Afternoon all,
A weird thing happened this afternoon, after cleaning the car. It only needed a rinse/quick wash, which it had. I drove it before putting it back in the garage to help dry the brakes and shake any excess off. I didnt go far, to the end of my development and did a big ish U Turn out of the junction onto the main road and back in again. At this point, as I'd aimed left, to do a big right turn back in, as the car headed into the road on full lock, there was an odd noise from what sounded like, front left tyre (as I was facing) as I pulled that big right hander. It sounded like a pin, or a spring popping out and maybe hitting a piece of metal and then it hitting the floor. (No loud bangs or anything hitting under the car)
Should this worry me? Car drove back okay and stopped okay and turned okay, I couldn't see anything obvious. It's possible of course, the tyre hit some debris on the road, ad pinged it away.
The slight reason I have a concern, is I last had the car out two sundays ago, and came home in a lot of rain. The car has been in the garge since. I dont leave the handbrake on, but, when I had to move it last week, the wheels were seized to the brakes and it did stall 3 times on trying to free it up (In my near 5 years of ownership, I have never had anything stick this bad)
Could I have potentially mucked any elements of the brakes up? I think Im best getting it looked at of course, but thought I'd ask first.
Thank you.
Mark
