If we're driving around the east of the county here's a couple of ideas
[1] Out across the high ridge through Burwash (great views to North and South if sunny) and perhaps down to Rye.
[2] Not quite so far - down A22, south through Berwick, A27 East, south through Wilmington (see the Long Man) east along A259, south at East Dean and take the Beachy Head road. Brilliant twisty road if you've not been along it. Peer over the cliff edge (no fence - don't fall off, I nearly did first time) stop for coffee at pub at top of Beachy Head. Then either cruise along Eastbourne seafront or back home.

Sat PM is fine with me, I live in Crawley.

How about we meet at the entrance to the Ardingly showground almost opposite the pub, at 2pm?
Sounds fine, although meeting an hour earlier may give us a bit of extra time before it gets dark. Anybody else going to join us?

If poss may i join you on your drive...???
I would be approaching from Uxbridge Middx.
Looking in my Porsche Post you meet at the Gardeners Arms Ardingly.
Is this the same pub as above.

Richard
Richard, please join us. This is a bit of a first and most of us will be meeting one another for the first time.
The pub is the same as our monthly meet venue. Very easy to find.

Very special thanks to the guys I ran back from Eastbourne with - great drive; most enjoyable road drive I've had for a while, and I hope to have a lot more (and if anyone's organising a drive like this anywhere in the south, please let me know).
As this seems fairly popular, can we say 2nd Saturday in every month, meeting at the same place, or would somewhere nearer A23 / M25 be better? I'll do another post of the forum nearer the time.
Thaks again.
