Warning lights triggeerd when indicating

Hi All,
I have a 1990 964 for the last 12 years and racked up 148,000 miles, a few years ago when indicating left at a junction all the warning lights came on right out of the blue, I found that simply turning off and on would solve the problem and every now and then the indicating would trigger all the warning lights including ABS etc. I had this looked at by the Independent Porsche garage who I have used ever since owning the car it took many months to sort this out changing all manner of parts including a used ABS pump.
Everything has been fine for around 3 years and now its started again when indicating, I have to say that when it first happened I didn't even consider that indicating could have caused this I thought it only a coincidence.
In the past I have used the Independent garage as I did not have time to do my own servicing etc my situation changed last year and now have time do my own servicing etc I am a timed served Mech Design engineer and took it upon myself to understand what goes on under those covers on the underside of the car - 9 months off the road and lots of work done the car was back on the road with all manner of things being done - remade most of the brake lines, CV Joints, Rust removal were required , Clutch Slave Cyl replaced and New Lines, Rear Bumper removed due to broken brackets , Tinware around the Engine changed were possible, some panel repair and spraying, Diff Lock resealed, Cleaned all speed sensors, New Plugs, Timing Chain Cover Gaskets, Rocker Cover Seals etc etc.

Now you know what is coming - Yes when indicating all the Warning Lights come back on again, can indicating really be the cause of this,

I will be taking the Indicator stalk off and checking for bad earths etc but really electrics is not my best subject.

If anyone out there has had this problem it would good to here from you with info to fix this problem.

Steve

It is a strange fault, not one I've ever had thank goodness.

I think my 1st check would be earthing as I have seen in the past with other old vehicles where all the lights on a rear wing will be flashing and the indicator not, when using the indicators.
The only time when all the lights come on is before starting the engine. What causes them to go off when the engine is running would be what I'd look into.
Keep us updated

Ok thanks for the advice, I have looked across the internet and have not seen anyone else with a problem like mine.
I plan to check it this weekend, I will let you know what I find.
