Hi when turning a sharp corner i get the red exclamation mark light
I checked the levels and all seems good is this brake, oil or coolant warning?
Appologies for the noob question but i cant find an answer in the search function.

If it comes on when going round corners it is probably brake fluid. You probably need a top up. It dhould be accompanied by the brake warning light. Can be hard to tell as it flashes on and of very quickly though.

Do you get any other red lights on? Assuming you dont have any oil pressure issues, if the bottom red part of the oil pressure gauge comes too its probably the sensor, its right under the oil filter so can get all gunky, etc. Handbrake can also be ultra sensitive.

I checked the levels and my oil pressure is fine i may give them all a top up.
My handbrake is sh**e though so it may be something to do with that

Two level indicators that will flash up a warning are brake fluid level and oil level(not pressure).

I would check both the brake fluid level and the oil level as well as the the wiring to both.

The brake fluid level sensor sits in the top of the master cylinder. The oil level indicator sits in the middle of the sump on the drivers side - the wiring is routed underneath the exhaust so may have been affected/ knocked.

IMHO these are the only two indicators that would be affected by cornering forces. It's possible that the brake fluid level is only marginal (can happen when pads are low) - don't top it up too much as all that will happen is that when you install new pads and/or discs it'll throw fluid out of the master cylinder as the extra depth forces fluid back.

No oil level indicator on 85.5 car. Besides it only comes on after engine start and will stay on permanently. It will also be accompanied with oil level and a dispstick sign.

There you go then, diagnosis = Brake fluid level !

ISTR that not all cars had oil level indicators built in, although I think the sump is common to all with a triangular blanking plate for those without the indicator ?

Later sumps will fit earlier cars they are the same size. There is no blanking plate though. If you want the level indicator you must have the correct sump.
