2018 2.0 Macan bought with OPC warranty @ 55,000 miles.
Noticed a “resistance” when pulling out of a junction on right hand lock. Hard to describe but feels like something is preventing smooth takeaway, almost feels like the wheel is catching on the wheel arch (it’s not but the only way I can describe it).
This happens every time at the end of our lane but difficult to replicate unless on an incline.
It’s been like this since we bought it.
Tried switching “off-road” mode on, turn the steering on right hand lock (doesn’t have to be full lock), move gently forward & hold on brake - there is a noticeable vibration through the entire car, including the steering wheel. It will also do this on left hand lock but not quite as bad.
Car booked into selling dealer shortly after purchase who couldn’t find anything wrong and said “Ackerman effect” which was total rubbish bearing in mind it was May (I know Ackerman effect as my other car is a 718 on Pirelli’s which is terrible in cold weather).
Anyway, tried another dealer nearby who actually sat in the car to identify the issue with me and changed the transfer box under warranty.
No change so booked in again and let them investigate - couldn’t identify the problem but changed the rear differential oil. It’s overall much smoother pulling away but still have the vibration in off-road mode.
I’ve yet to try the junction at the end of our lane.
Any suggestions please (I’ve seen the driveshaft post on the forum and it sounds similar).
The dealer have asked me to monitor it but they hoped the rear diff oil change would sort it and that was their first step.
