VEMS Engine management systems, plug & play ECU upgrade

Hello, yes am interested Phil. Will message you my details and have a chat. Been away at a congress since last week and on way home now.

Simon I've a nasty feeling the radio got binned, I'll check. Mike feel free to donate the ecu if anybody needs it.

Eldavo, If I don't hear from you before next Monday I'm going to go ahead and order myself a system. Sorry, I'm not very good with this forum stuff so not sure how to private message/contact someone!

Hi Simon,

The standard package is €1250 then any ancillaries like electronic boost control, fuel injector upgrades etc. If you are just replacing the ECU and nothing else, then you just unplug the current ECU & KLR (if a turbo) and plug in the VEMS. If you don't have a wide band 2 sensor in your exhaust you'll need to have one fitted (it comes in the kit, but you may need a 'bung' welding into the exhaust to have it fitted).
Set up the throttle position calibration, start the car, drive! A couple of hours driving max with a laptop running to map the fuelling (which is automatic) should have calibrated the fuel mapping and your done, 'burn' the config to the ECU. Fine tuning on a rolling road is optional.

That's the gist of it. I would suggest anyone to do their own research of course...
HTH Simon, David may have another perspective for you...
Regards,
Phil.

I'll be keeping the AFM in the 'stock items' box and having a new pipe fabricated I think. I'm not going for a 'stealth installation' personally...

That would be my choice, deleting the standard airbox and intake tube makes a big difference.

Easy to fit and Peep would always respond with my questions, my Dyno guy had it for 3 hours all sorted and starts on the button.

How much difference / improvement? in torque & bhp, out of interest...

Thats great James thanks.
Simon - ECU is in my garage, will put it in the company car and drop it off somewhere some time!
