Using tyres foam daily

Hi,

I would be really surprised if its harmful but I have found you can have a slight build up of product on the tyre if over applied and instead of looking black and shiny they look off black and dull plus picks up dust.

I'm a bit intrigued as to why you need to apply it daily? unless you consistently drive in puddles it should last more than 24 hours.

I am living in a dusty city (well, almost). When I apply the foam it gives me shiny tyres.

 
Hello,

I would like to hear from you about using tyres foam daily.
The two brands I am using are; Armor All or Meguiar's.
Is that harmful to my tyres?

Im trying to test different products atm (time and cost permitting) and currently apply Meguairs Endurance tyre gel, with their foam applicator. Ive found best results if applied way before using the vehicle, as some have found it may 'sling'. Personally, I havent found this, as I believe I apply the right quantity and also, allow it to take to the tyre too.

I am garaged, but I have done a trip to Blenheim for Purely Porsche and back and then Chronos and Cars on Sunday at Reading, so have covered between 150 and 200 miles over three weeks since it was last cleaned and applied and no sign of the colour or shine letting up.

There is a great YouTube video of different types of tyre product, varynig from gels to liquids and the results they give. I didnt appear to be able to source the water based one they recommended (water based slings less, if at all, and doesn't affect the paint if left on it) but worth a watch if you have some time.

From your experience, do any of the product's contents harm the tyres, eg; hardened or reduce their life expectancy? They are at the end chemicals.

No problem.

From what Im aware, no tyre dressing will ever damage the tyre, they'd not be able to sell it, if it did. Some may however, cause more fading than others over time, no different to how different shampoos react and strip waxes etc if used incorrectly.
