Update on waterpumps direct

Ok so I have contacted Laso a few times now by e-mail and also on the phone.I don't think this company wants to sell their pumps in the uk as they are extremely vague and not at all helpfull.
So I went on a search of a few forums in the states and found a company called Zim. They sell refurbed water pumps with a two year garuntee for only $128 plus a $129 core charge ob returning your old pump and it's suitability to be rebuilt. They have a very good write up on pelecan parts firum and lots of satisfied customers on the other side of the pond.I have e-mailed them asking if they would send them to the uk and if so how much they would want.I will put up prices etc as soon as they get back in touch.

Should anyone want to go this route, I have an old waterpump that could be sent as the replacement 'core' part, enabling someone to have a new one to fit to their car meaning it doesn't spend time off-road while the old-for-new swap completes.

PM me for details.

Oli.

I'm sure you've considered it, but there will be import taxes to pay on stuff shipped from the States. I believe the rates vary according to the classification of the product so you can probably find the rates from some gov.uk website.

Richard at Club autosport just sold me a laso for £200 + Vat. I use him for all my parts as he tends to have most stuff on shelf and is always really helpful.

I tried ordering a laso from Germany and it ended up being the wrong one that was sent, so I can be bothered importing one to save £50.
