Hi,

I've recently bought my first Porsche. It's a 1982 944 2.5 Lux. Yesterday, it failed it's mot on account of worn tyres on the inside. I need to replace all 4 tyres and was wondering if anyone knew of any competitive tyre dealers in the North, preferably within reasonable driving distance from Lurgan?

Regards,

Tim

Tim,
I recently bought 4 new Toyo T1-R tyres for my 944S2 but got them on the 'net from www.mytyres.co.uk - hugely cheaper than any dealers round here even with delivery to NI, and they arrived within 5 days.
I got them fitted locally and balanced etc which cost a further £30.
I have two almost new Goodyear Eagle NCT's I don't need but they are for a 16" rim and I suspect yours will be 15", but let me know if you are interested.
Nice to know there's another 944 out here too!

I fully agree with Steve, I'm from that part of the country also and priced a pair of rear tyres for my 964 (17") in a few local spots. Mytyres.com with postage inc were almost £100 cheaper than prices I was getting. Meaning for less money you can get far better tyres!! Also local tyre centre Canavans have never had any problem fitting tyres for me even when I didn't buy them from him.
