Tyre supply and fitment

Can anyone recommend a good company, to supply and fit, the one I have always used in Ibstock (Jeff Fowkes) is now closed. Many Thanks Ian

BlackCircles.co.uk and I use ETS (Eden Tyre Sales) at Newark or Grantham to fit them

They take incredibly good care - have satin black forged wheels so am a bit protective of them šŸ˜…

The shop at Grantham is much better than Newark and they have recessed in the floor/ drive straight on ramps for Hunter alignment etc too
Mate at work had his fitted there and they said just try us direct to supply and fit

Let me know how you get on Ian, I'll soon be needing 2x rear tyres for the Macan (295/35 R20) and 2x fronts (265/40 R20)
Thats gonna hit the wallet ā˜¹ļø

Just waiting for the slightly better weather when I'll be using the car a bit more and want the tyres to be 100%

Also looking to replace two rear tyres and looking for somewhere that takes good care of my alloys. Any recommendations close to Ashby/ Castle Donington?

I don't know anywhere specifics but you need an outlet that uses a contact less machine to remove the tyres such as a Boss Touchless Tyre Machine

Thank you, there is an Eden tyres in Ashby the same group that JMR suggested so might pop over there and see what machines they use.

You may want to try your local OPC. I recently had two new tyres fitted by mine and they were only 10% more expensive than Black Circles but they did a full 111 point health check, offered an inspection of the underside of my car, fitted private plates and valeted the car inside and out all for no additional cost.

I've just pulled the pin on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 for the Macan (295/40 R20 106Y N0)
20% off with PAYDAY20 on eBay

I bought them from Blackcircles eBay shop and have paid to have them fitted at my ETS.
ETS said good price, buy them - we'll put them on for you, we fit 22" tyres all the time so your 20's will be no problem.
I said I was fussy and didn't want them marking and they said no worries they won't be marked.

I'll report back here when they arrive and are fitted

Hi, haven't had the Cup 2's replaced yet, have had to take my wife's Audi TTS tyres replaced (255/35 R19 PS4S) last week, and after a bit of research and asking around decided to try Eden Tyre Services in Hinckley. They were great and were really careful with the wheels, the Manager there is Ferg Power who I got chatting too and I am happy to report he is quite anal about not marking wheels (y). Thanks for all the suggestions on alternatives, also interesting data on the Boss, this looks to be just a fully automated system, company marketing this has a video of it's operation https://www.hofmann-megaplan.co.uk/products/premium-tyre-changers/x-boss . Certainly takes the human error element risk out but I doubt many Tyre dealers will invest in one.

Update on my tyres, having ordered the tyres over the internet (Asda tyres), I had the tyres fitted at Eden Tyres in Ashby de La Zouch. They did a great job and were very careful with the car and the rims, no marks at all on them. Ā£30 each for fitting, well worth it for worry free fitment, I would definitely recommend Eden Tyres.

Update on my tyres

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 ordered for the Macan S (as noted a couple of posts above)
20% off Blackcircles eBay shop at end of Feb.
Had rears fitted at Eden Tyres at Newark.
Did a good job, lovely black wheel weights too on the black wheels

Fast forward another month and I got another 20% voucher on eBay and ordered the 2 fronts ( 265 on the front, 295 on the rear )
Seeing as the fronts were on about 2.3mm in the centre and 4mm on outer and inner edge I assumed these had been overinflated prior to me buying the car last October

Again, same guy fitted them at ETS Newark
Nice job, took care with them, black wheel weights again.
Tiny little mark but only about 10mm right on the edge.

To be fair I wasn't even bothered, the lads have to get the tyres off and on somehow.
I'd hate to have to do the job tbh.

Tiniest bit of touch up and I couldn't even see where I'd put the paint.

Very good outfit, wouldn't hesitate to send people there.
I've heard good things about Ashby and the Melton branch.

But for the price, try Blackcircles eBay shop - you get exactly the same service as you'd get if you ordered off their website, but with eBay voucher codes!
Saved me over Ā£160

Tyres were fresh too, date stamp Week 49 of 2023 (y)

Going to replace them sooner or later this year so thought I might as well have them now!

I've ordered from BlackCircles and used Eden Tyres Ashby several times. Very good and efficient.

A bonus is that, if you're lucky and the weather's good, some lovely cars are parked outside Tom Hartley jnr's warehouse next door, being washed or aired and you can wander round them to have a look while you're waiting.

Julian I read your post last week when I was off and gave THJ a call and spoke to Eloisa, she was very pleasant on the phone and I asked if I could pop in ref: a comment on the Porsche Club GB forum (y)

Rocked up in the freshly detailed Macan and got a nice little tour of the place.
Got some really nice stuff in.
Made my sons day, as we were literally driving straight past on our way to lunch at Miller & Carter Burton on Trent.

Thanks for the heads up
