Two speed order process?

I was recently told* that there are some 4,600 Taycan models parked in a field in Germany which have been finished but for one or two parts that have been held up in the logistics troubles. Seems that to resolve these cars and deliver them will cost a lot, relatively speaking, given the number of staff and time per vehicle needed to resolve.

However, new models continue to roll off the production line.

So, if you have an order that was due a few months ago I'd press your dealer hard to get it sorted.

Sorry to bear bad tidings. Better you know though. []

* better not say by whom, but suffice to say, someone "in the know".

I was told last week that they had closer to 7500 cars in that compound with no 12V battery.

Confirmed that production was now being completed, and they were working through those in the compound now too -- the OPC I was talking to had 6 which were in the compound confirmed as ready to ship last week.

So, not great news but it is at least getting better.
