Twists or Cups ?

Ok so a few weeks back I bought a set of Turbo twists and im now wondering if I bought them in haste, I just cant decide which I prefer best.

I would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts, oh and what is the difference between Cup 1's & 2's

Hollow soke wheels make up for their ugliness by being light an innovative, I think. The majority of other watercooled wheels simply dont suit 944s, in my opinion.

The only exception that I can think of is the 17" Sport Classic; but even though it looks nice; the cars usually end up compromised dynamically due to the weight and being massively over-tyred.

I'm a big fan of these and have a couple of sets - one as pictured on my S2 and another in black (on the titanium turbo).

I do like the Cup 1s but I personally would only go for the original items. Sorry, I don't like the turbo twists. [:(]

I don't like turbo twist but I'm fond of 996 TT wheels, which are similar but look more refined IMO.

Not a fan of Cup 1 though, I like Cup 2 betters but in any case I prefer either Club Sports and D90 as they are higher profile tyres and make for lower unsprung weight so better dynamics.

For me cup 1's are th best wheels to slightly modernise a 944 without over doing it. Cup 2's and D90's also nice and turbo twists for me look awful on a 944, just to modern and blingey for me.

All down to opinion but it does seem the twists arent getting too many votes :)

Best of luck choosing

Darn I like both cup 1's and 2's however if I change I think it would probably be for cup 1's, I will have to put the twists up fpr sale first though.

See my advert for Cup 1 reps 17 inch full sets ideal as track wheels or with a refurb nice road wheels in for sale section

[:D]
(great selection of used track rubber in 17 inch aswell)

I think the cup 1's look fantastic, I wouldn't have anything else on mine.

Trouble is I'm having trouble getting nice looking center caps for them, bought some boxter ones, standard size fitting, was assured they would fit cup 1's and they didn't. Most annoying as mine need replacing desperately!

Had a look could not see anything, mind you it is still early for me.

Another vote for Cup 1 wheels. I have a set of Cup 1 originals on my turbo and wouldn't consider anything else. IMHO Cup 2 and twists look wrong.
