turbocharger filling with oil

got a problem with my 1988 911 turbo. i noticed that the turbo started to smoke recently so i had it reconditioned. the problem is that now the compressor housing is filling up with oil. i spoke to the company that built the turbo and he said that there must be a problem with the engine. he took the turbo back and said there was nothing wrong with it. i refitted the turbo and it drove ok for about 8 miles and then it started to smoke again. i took the intercooler of and noticed that the compressor housing was full of oil. its not the oil seals in the turbo leaking. company said they were fine when they checked them but replaced them anyway.
any of you guys got any idea what it could be.

checked the scavaneg pump and it looks ok. filled it with oil and spun it by hand and it pumps oil ok. were can i get one if it is not working properly.

I am not sure how much oil you have in there, but I did have a similar problem when I partly over-filled my oil tank. The oil was being drawn in through the oil tank breather to the air-filter and, so on, until it collected in the compressor.

Have you flushed out the intercooler & associated hoses, pipes etc as if the seals have been letting oil through,it can remain in the intercooler.

Had a very similar problem with mine- I suspect it's to do with engine oil pressure exceeding that able to be provided by the scavange pump, so oil backs up and exits over the turbo seals. Possibly linked to a oil pressure relief valve sticking slightly. Problem non-existant once warm. Car seems also to be very sensitive to oil level and does not like it if tank more than 3/4 filled.
