Does anyone know what the difference is, if any in the ratio's between a turbo box and an S2 box. I think
1st -4th are the same rations with a taller fifth, but I think the final drive mybe different as well. Can anyone
confirm before I swap the boxes?

Can't give you exact figs but turbo box is atol longer legged than the S2.It would dampen acceleration but give better fuel economy.

Pretty much, difference in final drive is pretty big the other ratio differences pretty minimal. Fifth about 6% lower which is not much.

It is the final drive that is different, the gear ratio's 1-4 are the same. I shall be putting the LSD in the S2 box and
keeping the ratios everything else the same.

Thanks for your replys gents.

Whilst an S2 final drive in a Turbo might be desirable, a Turbo final drive in an S2 would be terrible.

Yes, really the only advantage would be if you literally wanted to cruise at 140 mph foot flat on the floor on the Autobahn all day with improved fuel consumption and reliability. For everyday road use at normal speeds I think it would take away quite a lot of the shine of the S2. It would be better to see if you could get a 968 six-speed in, if you really wanted more ratios to choose from.
