Turbo ECU extra connector

Hi all,

Finally got the ECU and KLR out of the car to check what chips are installed as it has a boost enhancer which a re usually teamed with aftermarket chips. All went well both removing and re-installing and everything continues to work which is pleasing.

A few observations...
Standard chip is in the ECU, number matches standard chip part number.
The ECU has been opened before, the tabs on the back of the unit had creases and scratches around them.
The wiring loom to the ECU has an extra two wire connector coming from it. It didn't look standard and nothing appeared to plug into it - although with the alarm and past alarm wiring, there's plenty of wiring chaos going on but nothing that would fit to this plug.

Any ideas what one might plug into the ECU? (I'll post a pic when I can)

Thanks for any help,

Rik

It's a region code plug. Several different plugs were available. With specific plug and Motronic box's FQS selector different maps were available from the chip. Original chip contains maps for all market areas.
