Took the Ali Express plunge today and ordered one of those header tanks!

They were down to £48 on sale, the seller applied a random £2.21 discount, £7 more off with a coupon, total £57 delivered (delivery is £18).

Will go in a cupboard until mine gives up the ghost. I will report back on quality when it arrives.

seen these, let us know if any good, mine is really discoloured. Also I see water hose sets on Aliexpress and interestingly a short shift linkage. Does anybody know if these are any good? MTIA

Will do. At the end of the day its a bit of moulded plastic which is re-enforced at the pipe outlets. So, I'm hopeful it will be fine and worth a chance at the price.

I'm not sure what can go wrong with water hose sets unless it is really rubbish rubber, I'd go silicon if there was an option. I'd be more skeptical about the linkage exploding the 2nd time you changed gear but again at the price it might be worth ordering one and giving it a good going over before you decide to fit it or not.

Tank arrived yesterday. Impressed with it, looks very OEM in terms of colour and feel. Has all the same markings and internal lattice structure that an OEM tank has. Test fitted a cap onto it and fits nice and snug. Not fitted it yet, but seems very good for £38.
