Turbo Dynamics, and get a set of ball bearings installed for quick spool, and whatever they do to the bearing seals to stop (99.9% literally) the use of 1L of oil per 1000 miles.

Independent Turbo Services (Leeds) are used by Redline Racing, from their 944 turbo racing days. They refurbed a friends 26-6, fitting a turbine mid sized between the standard number 6 and 8 turbines fitted to 951's. They also fitted a slightly larger compressor. They reckoned this was optimum for a 951 running 1Bar boost.
The original turbo had sheared off compressor blades so he couldn't compare before and after with any fairness. This was a round 13 years BBBT (before ball bearing turbo's).

One of the most powerful Turbos in the UK is MarkK's 400+bhp monster and it was built pretty much entirely from Lindsey Racing products over 7 years ago. It's still running fine all these years later and after many track days. To me that is a fine testament to the quality of their products.

Turbo Dynamics did mine including Zircotec ceramic coating. Not cheap as they like to replace with new rather than 'make do' or repair but came recommended to me and due to their accurate and high speed balancing. Now for a photo of shiny bits []

Lindsey use KKK replica turbine housings made by Turbonetics, which they machine when needed, if the turbine wheel chosen is too large for the housing.
As far as I know, this remains today the only way to mount in a "plug & play" fashion a ball bearing turbo on a 944T - that is without needing to cut/weld exhaust pipes at all.

Every Lindsey Racing product I have used has worked perfectly and lasted the test of time with no problems, which products have you bought and had problems with Simon?

Just to add to what Paul said, My Lindsey racing turbo has been in my car for 10 years now since Andrew at Promax installed it....Turbo running perfectly to date with no issues....I can only say Lindsey have quality products....cheers

Some things are quite good, I think: others not so.
I was under the impression that their turbos were OK (the plug and play nature is very appealing), but that some smaller items could be better (indeed, Rennlist say that the intercooler hoses they sell are not quite the best of fit and need better clips as opposed to jubilee clips (I looked into them as I was debating between getting a couple of boost hoses from Porsche or getting the lot replaced in Silicon (my modern derv (now sold) went to silicon hoses due to the renowned poor life of the stock itmes)).

My ex Turbo S race car had a LR DPW and Intercooler and that did a whole season of CSCC without a single DNF when I look back now that reliability record is nothing short of astounding Andy and Roger got a quite high mileage engine and gearbox to do what it did with a refresh is amazing.
Makes me want to do it again, been thinking about it alot!
Just wanted to add my bit not being argumentative, just that I have tried a few LR products and got on quite well.

As for their hybrid turbos, my friend Sly did maybe 60k miles with a dry LR turbo and if it's now understandably leaking some oil after all he has thrown at it it's still running remarkably strong.
I only purchased a couple of times from them but have always been impressed with how quick they got the parts delivered (less than a week) considering there's a ocean between us. I always got the feeling they would replace a failed new turbo without quibbling if purchased from them only a few weeks earlier. Saying this, it would make little sense to me to turn to Lindsey for just a turbo as there are places around here that can make the same turbos.
KKK hybrids from ETG are I think of superior quality as they use modern Borg Warner components (wheels) and KKK turbine housings, but they do cost quite a bit more than what I would want to spend for "just" a journal bearing turbo.

sorry - my K26 is a Garrett hybrid. It was sourced or built by SPS and I am not sure how exactly they achieved ball bearing install.
unfortunately I don't have Zircotec finish - very nice idea though.
I have no experience of Lindsay turbos, but what I have had from them or Promax has always been fine with good Service.
