A friend of mine bought several years ago Lindsay turbo. I suppose it was so called super 60. It was more or less original 26/8 converted to 27/8. That charger lasted about 3000km when it suffered a serious bearing problem. After that we have used only locally modified chargers. Necessarily parts made in the USA are not any shortcut to happiness. I am currently building for a friend a 2,5L with heavily modifed 26/8. Compressor housing is changed to size 27. This time we have used Mitsubishi compressor & turbine wheels. Plan is to have early spool with some power as well.

In answer to the questions asked earlier, it is hearsay that has lead me to this conclusion, as opposed to direct experience, but it is the experience of people like Olli and one or two other specialists whose opinions I trust to whom I have listened.
By about 300 rpm. Which don't translate 2 much in actual road speed mph. Turbo gearing and power band quite short in 1st and 2nd. Boost in 1st 30mph and as soon as its on you need 2 change gear,
2nd 3.6rev 40mph
3rd 3.2rev 50mph
4tg 3.2rev 65mph
5th 3.2rev 80mph
Taken from speedo so MIT be silghtly out
2nd 3.6rev 40mph
3rd 3.2rev 50mph
4tg 3.2rev 65mph
