trying to find previous owner

Hello,
I have been working on breathing life into a 1981 924 for about a year now. It has needed little bits and pieces done such as both fuel pumps changed, fuel sender unit changed, electrical gremlins chased out and a few other things you would expect from a car that has been sat since 1997 or 1998. I have it running again and was just about to put it through an MOT when i started going through the papers I have for the car. It seems like it was a very loved car at one time. Full service history up until 102,000, it has 105,000 on it now. Reciepts for everything ever done to it, all old MOT certificates, wiring diagrams when someone down the line changed the indicator stalks over to ones from an astra (why?!?) and so on. I was just wondering if anyone knows the history of this car? I have a reciept where someone over the years that had it joined this club and was hoping maybe they are still around. The reg number is MTF ***X, it is light gold or bronze in color, has a set of compmotive alloys installed on it, and is in generally good nick for the age. I was just curious as to what the original fault was. Feel free to drop me an email and I will send a pic of it if you think it may have been your old car. Thanks,

Brad

Write to the DVLA and for a fee, not sure how much....they will provide copies of the the vehciles' previous V5's. Have a look at the DVLA webbie.

Thanks for the idea. I will give that a shot. Just hoping that maybe someone here use to own it. :) Thanks again,

Brad
