Ive helped out with my uncle who is a quite well known racer, but is too fat for speedy driver changes... Two tickets would be appreciated.ORIGINAL: Cater_Racer No previous experience necessary, Oli helped at Brands and it was our best ever change over.

Well you really wouldn't want to be rude! See you there! [ORIGINAL: Hairyarse I could well be up for this - was thinking about going to Two Counties Show at Newmarket but when there's a 944 meet up the road, well it would be rude not to! Count me in [8D]

Craig, Andy sounds like we need to rendezvous and convoy to the eating place!
PM sent!
I'm looking in the diary as I speak and it sounds like a fantastic excuse for a lad's weekend away (especially the camping.) I'm going to try and cancel the thing I currently have in for Sunday Lunchtime but it's not likely that I'll manage it, which is a great shame.
] Oli.
Tales of my greatness are greatly exaggerated .... (but that was very kind of you to say Gerry, thanks!) [ORIGINAL: Cater_Racer No previous experience necessary, Oli helped at Brands and it was our best ever change over.

Well what a fantastic day!! First off many thanks to Glenn for showing us 'Cadwell Virgins' the way around. I have to say that as soon as Andy and I saw the track all we could think was 'I want to get out there!' If you haven't been to Cadwell I can't recommend it enough, it's a stunning circuit - great for spectators and I'm sure great to drive - which I now plan to find out one day [8D] Now the important part - some pics of the day; Andy and my 944's - and Glenn's disguised as a Mercedes [
]
We helped out with Tom & Gerry in their 944 racer during the driver change. Due to Andy's poorly foot I got the short straw! LOL All went well and the change was fairly smooth - I didn't lose them a place at least. Here's their car
...and here it is from the pit wall (pic taken before we got told off for taking pics on the pit wall! [
])
Then we headed back to Charley's corner and met up with Broady from over on TIPEC - good to meet you and your square dash [
]
Right, I'm off now for a shower and copious layers of after sun!

Thanks Andies & Glen, Nice to have some support and pit stop help. We managed to be the top finishing Porsche, thanks to Tom's storming start and quick laps. The old man didn't let him down too badly, I was still circulating quicker than any other P car, although couldn't match Tom's pace. That's kids for you, you teach them everything you know then suddenly the're out-lapping you. [
] I'm guessing the "Clunk" braking into Mansfield is the left rear wheel getting airborne and the coil-overs clacking in the platforms. But I'll have look underneath before Oulton Park. Gerry
