Total 911 mag article - car wanted

early 911

Moderator

A new magazine (Total911) has asked for help in sourcing the following cars (pref all red with silver as second choice):

1, Pre1973 car - ideally a 911E
2, 911SC or 3.2 Carrera
3, 964 (C2 or C4)
4, 993 (C2 or C4)
5, 996 (C2 or C4)

They are needed at Bruntingthorpe on a date to be decide in Feb or March (let me know any preferred dates) and will each be driven by a professional driver to enable the mag to run a comparison of the performance evolution of the 911.

comment from publisher to perhaps allay some concerns:
Probably get Jonny Cocker to do a lap or two in each car. We're not going to push them to the limit, though, that would be unreasonable

They are also after a 2.4S, Coupe, preferably in red, for a different shoot.

The idea behind this article is to compare the 911 with a Ferrari Dino (hence it would be nice to have a red 911 . . . although don't let this put you off contacting me). The intention is the shoot the pictures at Shelsley Walsh (which claims to be the oldest Motorsport venue in the World) North of Worcester in the Midlands (here's a map: http://www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk/where.html). No firm dates as yet, but likely to take place end of February.

I have been speaking to the editor and have managed to agree a years subscription and a CD of the pictures for the Shelsley Walsh shoot. Working on the Bruntingthorpe shoot.

shame its so far away from me [:(]

Its also a shame that the magazine seems to be obsessed with red []
I believe Porsche made cars in a various different colours, after all if its PERFORMANCE that they are trying to measure I dont think that the colour will matter at all.
