Torqure wench lb range?

I woukd say 0 - 200. Or so nm but you won't get one to span that whole range. You are probably looking at needing two.
 
I would go for one in the 10-80nm range on 3/8 drive and then one up to 200nm but that will probably be 1/2 drive.

Going to second that. I did a lot of research and asked a lot of people here, and the general consensus is to get a 3/8 drive on the lower range. 1/2 dive on the higher range will be good for heavy work like suspension, etc. Also, a lot of people recommend the Halfords Professional wrench. I have bought one, haven't had a chance to test it out yet though. However, a friend is perfectly happy with his £30 torque wrench, so it depends how precise you want to be.
 
There's plenty off used norbar , birtool, snap on on eBay. Going pretty cheap. MIT get one from there, there always be worth the same roughly should I sell on.
 
Unless they are being sold on because the calibration is off! I've read that incorrect use/storage can mess calibration up.
 
The vans that the Snap On, Mac Tools etc guys drive always have a calibration thing in them.So if you know a friendly professional mechanic etc then buy a second hand Snap on one and get your pal to get the van sales guy to calibrate it for you.
Always be careful when using a torque wrench,don't bang it down or allow it to be kicked across the floor etc as rough handling will knock off the calibration.
 
Top tip that Rob....................wonder if i could smuggle mine in to the cal labs at work [:D]
 
Consider treating yourself to a Sealey digital one. They have a wider range and also have the ability to track the peak torque, so if you use them to undo a nut you can see what torque was required. You also don't have to faff about unwinding them when you have finished.
