Top Mount

Some advice please. My car is currently at Swindon being srviced. It needs a new suspension top mount for the right hand side, part no. is 993 343 018 80.

I am told taht this is different to the normal 993 top mount and comes from the Motorsport division in Stuttgart. It's been on order since August and now I am told they cannot get the part until Februay 2015![]

Any ideas where I can get one? Cannot use the car in the meantime which is a pain.

Any help/advice gratefully received.

Cheers

Mike, do you know why it needs a new top mount. Normally the phosphor bronze bearing wears out inside the top mount. Porsche do not supply the bearing separately and only sell the top mount complete with new bearing inside it. I keep these bearings in stock as they are the same bearing front and rear and 993 RS / 964 RS. I can replace the top mount bearing for you rather than the whole top mount.

Of course if the top mount plate is cracked then that's different.

ok so if rsr has nt got one ,ring the guy i told u about.........the racers broke these every 5 mins on normal roads ........someone must have them......i bet u half the 993 rs owners of the world are driving around with cracked ones and have nt even noticed !

Cant find at the mo,if you are stuck i will go through my garage next week, when i return .also have friend who can repair the top mount, will be stronger than original.

Not sure I have the original one left, it allegedly fell apart and was irreparable. Thanks a lot for the offer, can I call you? PM me with your number OK?

Cheers
