Took the new toy for a little run this weekend, filling u with petrol on an A road ad noticed wed got pat 1800 miles. Thought it would be rude not to give t the bean pulling out of the Petrol station.........

Firs thing - normal mode, put foot down at 10mph on link road, slight hesitation then you feel the torque...talk about rib crushing you can definitely feel extra 30lbft. Breathing requires conscious effort....

Secondly in that blink of an the tacho has bypassed movement and simply re-appears at 70mph...... OMG!!!! It hardly run in and its properly, seriously fast.....

Breaks currently devoid of problems quoted elsewhere (I hope)

They are a bit grabby in normal mode at the top of the pedal, possibly as the engine decouple when off the gas so its braking without engine braking a bit f a strange experience. Much better in sport mode but I have not yet had to brake hard anywhere so cant say how good they are or aren't. They are seriously large disk mind, the callipers are pretty large too....

What is the running for a motor these days ? I thought all that was done away with now ??? in just over a week ive out 350 on mine

For the first 2,000 miles Porsche recommend that 4,000 rpm is the max, and that the engine is put through plenty of heat cycles to let the various parts with differing thermal properties bed in. Constant speed motorway miles are therefore not ideal, and some good acceleration is encouraged. So, enjoy the first few weeks getting used to your new car and then cane it like Tom []
