Read Peter Robinson's long term report on C2. "Best car in the world." His preference for narrow bodies resonates with me.

Nice article.

The 'best' variants of the 911 have always tended to be the RS/CS/GT variants where 'less is more'. But, for everyday road use, a standard C2 with PSM and a few selected options would be my perfect car.

I bought my C4 used - I wanted a C2 with PSM etc... and compromised with the extra weight and having the other wheels driven (albeit, as mentioned, usually only a bit!) and not having to wait any longer than I had already for a car I'd yearned for since I could spell "car"...! [:D]

ps my first post - as I understand it tradition on fora is to introduce oneself: London (Chiswick W4) based, had my 2000 C4 tip coupe - Arctic Silver, Black leather, 18" turbo look, few other nice bits - for just about a year. 330Ci convertible and TVR Chimaera previously...

Have to say in wet Scotland, I prefer the sure footed feel of the C4 at this time of the year. Why carry around more girth than you need. Give me a narrow body anytime.
