Please can I have some advice about servicing. My car is just about to reach the 24000 mile mark on the original engine, but is a 99 model. It has been serviced only three times since new at OPC so only 3 stamps in the book. The previous owner had it garaged and hardly used it - so didn't think he had to have it annualy serviced because his mileage was so low. However the 1st thing I did was change the oil, and the front pads and discs myself. Only 3 mths or so ago I had the car on the OPC computer for diagnosis FOC as part of a Regional Event (well done London region!) and it got clean bill of health. I want to now know the following:
1. Is it worth having OPC 24k service for the service book or independent.
2. I am pretty OK with DIY maint, so can probably handle the spark plugs, polyrib belts, oil change, discs and brakes. My concern is the brake fluid change as the ABS unit needs to be cycled. Shall I leave this OPC.
Any advice would be very welcome.
