Tiptronic steering wheel...

Hi all....I have a 2003 / 2004 Cayenne Tiptronic S (4.5 V8) does anyone know what the two buttons are at the rear of the steering wheel? If you place you hands at 3o'clock & 9 o'clock they fall nicely with your index fingers.... They dont do anything but im more than curious????

They turn the lights on/off for the steering wheel buttons ... they are push on/push off .. dont know why there are two .
 
The other button is for heated steering wheel. I am not sure that it was a UK option but is around the world
