Might not be much improvement on a turbo but I've driven 2.5 n/a with and without and would reccommend them.

So that would be the same as my 2.7 then....
Are these Porsche kits? easy to install?
Will work on 2.7.
It works by moving the air flap with less foot movement, so respose is quicker, can lead to higher fuel consumption due to the tendancy to use it! Also slightly more delicate foot control reqiuired in traffic, moving off etc but easily adjusted to. Probably not so good on a 16v 2.5S, but I love it and you can swap it back easy.

Very! Unhook cable, remove nut and the old cam and replace in reverse order.

The factory fixed this issue on the 944S, it's only the 8v cars that have the long, non linear pedal travel.
I can also strongly recommend fitting the cam, for me it made the car much nicer to drive.
Porscheshop do them, as do lots of others.

I've only heard of one person who hadn't found a really noticeable improvement with the later-type throttle cam. As fitted as standard to the S2 and Turbo, and I've not heard of one single person changing theirs to a "slow-response" cam. [8|]
I did
All I can say is what a difference.. Pick up is SO much better and you dont feel like you have to 'floor it' to really shift....
I did spot something quite interesting when I changed it tho.. in that my cable had a little too much slack in it at idle, and when the pedal was pressed all the way - there was still a mm or 2 left on the throttle butterfly!!!!! How long its been like that I dont know..
So I put the new cam on - adjusted up the cable to remove the excess slack and now when the pedal is floored the butterfly opens fully... I NOW HAVE FULL POWER CAPTAIN!.. hehe..
Trouble now of course is that I am going to be inclined to use it!! and I have to remember that its now a lot easier to spin the wheels up off the mark!..
Great - happy
Anthony
Glad to be of use[
