Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS)

I've been looking on Ebay for a Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) for a 3.0 litre S2 without success. Can anyone tell me if this is shared with any other cars other than a 944 S2

Thanks

Wayne

Looks like a mystery topic - your best bet is to check with Bosch component supplier to see if they have a cross reference number or similar way of looking up the part. Also - your VW/Audi dealer might be of some help.....

I'm rather surprised nobody was able to recommend an alternative fitment but thanks for the advice.

If the casing is intact, these are normally easily repaired (I have done same). You can split the case and clean out the contacts etc - not much else to go wrong. New ones aren't that expensive either IIRC, as after repairing mine I bought a new one to replace it anyway.

It was my intention to do exactly what you are suggesting. The first problem I encountered was the 2 phillips head screws that secure the TPS rounded off, which meant that I had to make saw cuts in the screw heads to remove the unit with a flat bladed screwdriver only to find the plastic casing of the TPS had been glued. It is for this reason I decided to source a replacement.
