Thinking of buying Macan Diesel

I'm thinking of buying a Macan Diesel - what sort of things are essential, valuable options? How important is PASM? What things to look out for?
Do Macans of this era have Apple Car Play?
If not is there an option to add Car Play?
Also, all year, all weather - including snow - performance is important, what sort of tyres do people in the winter?

3 litre diesel version is a great car. I had one for 6 years and would have bought another if they had been available. PASM is not essential, but a pano roof is desirable. Check for Ad Blue leaks in the engine compartment (crystalline salt on connections) and oil leaks around the front cover. Also ascertain whether the transfer box has been replaced. Good luck.

Not at all, but early boxes were prone to water contamination leading to damaged internals. Later boxes eliminated this problem. I understand Porsche replaces faulty units for vehicles up to 7 years old as a goodwill gesture.

As regards winter boots, Pirelli Scorpion and Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 SUV are currently in vogue atm and the latest Porsche tyre rating for Macan is NE.

Clive
